Pumpkin is an 18-year-old Connemara pony. She has had Cushing’s Disease for three years now so she is clipped all year round. She is an amazing all-rounder pony having competed in show jumping, dressage, cross country, eventing and showing throughout the last 11 years. More recently we have been concentrating on veteran showing with the ultimate dream of competing at Olympia!I have owned Pumpkin for eight years and have a close bond with her, she is so sweet and kind natured. She isn't really a people pony but her character over the years has grown and grown.
She now gives kisses to people on command (hoping to get a treat!) sometimes so enthusiastically she pushes me backwards!

Proudest Moment:
Winning Supreme at 15+ Championships, coming 1st reserve supreme at the Amateur Showing Society Championships and winning and being Champion at Equifest...just a few and all with Pumpkin!

Feed & Routine:
Pumpkin is fed on Speedi-Beet and a low calorie balancer (with unmolassed chaff added in winter). She is a very good doer so I exercise her as often as I can to keep her weight under control. Pumpkin is ridden five times a week in summer for one to two hours, mostly hacking to keep it varied with some schooling. She usually does at least one show a month depending what’s on, I like to do two a month with her; she mostly does championship shows now. She lives out 24/7 in summer, even the night before shows (she is a very easy pony to keep clean!). She does like coming in overnight in winter though as she is a bit of a wimp when it is cold.
